Construction began around 1825 and was completed in 1846. It is the largest in the area and the second largest in the island - 600 cubic meters (40 thousand cisterns). Two staircases, the first with 20 steps and after a landing the second with 15 steps, lead to a new landing, where two new staircases with 9 steps each start on the right and left, leading to a rectangular paved area. Here, there are two large round mouthpieces. Surrounding it are four columns with pyramid-shaped capitals, which were built by the stonemason Theodoros Vlachopoulos in 1848 for a fee of 17.5 talers. It collects rainwater from the outdoor area. Additional works, such as road construction to the reservoir and in the surrounding area, were carried out in 1851, interventions and minor repairs in 1931 and 1999. With the Leader plus program (2006), the Municipality of Paxos restored and maintained the monument.
