In 1995, a larnax-shaped tomb from the Hellenistic period was discovered. The tomb was opened into the natural sandy rock and was covered with stone slabs.
Underneath the slabs, a skeleton was revealed in a supine position with the arms by its sides. In the left hand of the skeleton, a bronze pin, of the "spindle" type (late 5th century BCE), and a fragment of an elongated iron object were found. Additionally, a clay vessel was found near the lower left extremity.
Beneath the skull of the deceased, a Charon's obol, a Corinthian silver drachma, was discovered, dating the burial to the late 4th to 3rd century BCE.
in the olive grove of Mrs. Alkis Vellianitis, which revealed a portion of an Archaic cemetery. Simultaneously, excavation trenches were made in the area where the 1995 excavations had started. Two sections of circular burial enclosures were uncovered, constructed of irregular stones enclosing ark-shaped graves made of slabs. Artifacts from the two graves (pins, perfume bottle with stopper, rings, fibulae, cups, wine jug, Corinthian kotyle) were found, containing the remains of women aged 50 and 25 years respectively; this section dates back to the Archaic period (6th century BCE).
Between the burial enclosures, traces of a third destroyed burial enclosure were found, within which scattered and fragmented skeletal bones were discovered. To the northeast of the third enclosure, a simple pit grave of an animal, possibly a horse, dating to the Archaic period, was revealed.
